Because we specialise in figured wood and reclaimed wood we can't guarantee to have a particular size in stock. We have given "sample" prices as a guide to how much a wood type will cost (its all done "per cubic foot"). Sycamore

Sycamore is a cream/white wood. It turns and finishes well.

Rippled sycamore is not uncommon and we often have some in stock.

Sycamore will often spalt like Beech. However being such a pale wood the stages leading upto full spalting can leave the wood looking "dirty" rather than interesting so blanks have to be selected carefully.

Another effect is a green/grey flame effect that starts at the centre of the tree. This can look very effective if the markings are symmetrical in the blank (which is what we try to achieve).
