We have given "sample" prices as a guide to how much a wood type will cost (its all done "per cubic foot"). Field Maple

Field Maple is a pale cream/white wood similar to Sycamore. The grain can be a little less distinct and a little closer than sycamore. However this can make the wood look more refined and subtle. Field Maple also tends to finish to a silky shimmery finish. A gloss finish such as given by sealer followed by wax therefore looks good.

Occasionally field maple has rippling, particulalry where branches fork off.
